Fine Art Moments
St. Paul Art Crawl & Lorabeth
OK it’s time for a moment. Last spring I was showing several pieces from my JAZZ Series. The St. Paul Art Crawl is a fun show for us as we get to show with up to 30 of our Artist buddies. It’s a great relaxing event—except for the Spring of 2004. I had no sooner hung my Art, when some kind of buzz started. Several of my pieces were jumping out at the crowd. I sold JAZZ Secrets before the show had even started.
This is Lorabeth’s moment.
She walked straight up to it. Squinted at it. Walked back 12 feet. The next moment was mine … the smile & look on her face as she knew this was hers. Suddenly she was alive, several questions about the who, what & where. This was to be a gift to her lover—an intimate expression of Love. It was slightly more then she had wanted to spend. We hit a happy compromise and she wrote me a check (please wait a week for her next payday). A big wonderful hug and she was off to see the rest of the Crawl. |
